Hughes, the man who is probing rascality in the life insurance companies,” the Eagle reported.

JOHN LENNON was born on this day in 1940. Lennon was an English composer, musician and member of The Beatles, the sensationally popular group of musical performers that captivated audiences first in England and Germany, and later throughout the whole world. Lennon was a fervent activist for peace. He was murdered in New York City in 1980.

BROTHERS AND SISTERS, featuring novelists Bridgett Davis, Akhil Sharma and Tiphanie Yanique, will take place from 7 to 8:15 p.m. tonight at Brooklyn Public Library’s Dweck Center at the central branch.
