Bowdoin to cover education costs for officer’s son
BRUNSWICK, Maine— Maine’s Bowdoin College is going to cover the education costs of a student whose father was one of two New York City police officers gunned down over the weekend.
The college in Brunswick tweeted on Monday that it will provide “full financial aid to enable son of slain NYPD officer to complete his Bowdoin education.”
Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were killed in their patrol car in Brooklyn on Saturday. The gunman took his own life.
