Brooklyn state senator to host discussion on affordable housing crisis

New York state Sen. Velmanette Montgomery (D-Brooklyn) will host a community meeting Thursday night to discuss, what is being termed, a crisis in New York affordable housing.

New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and Deputy Diana Reyna are expected to be joined by state Sen. Jesse Hamilton, state Assemblymembers Joseph Lentol, James Brennan, Annette Robinson, Karim Camara, Felix Ortiz, Walter Mosley, Jo Anne Simon, Latrice Walker and Councilmembers Stephen Levin, Robert Cornegy, Laurie Cumbo and Carlos Menchaca at the Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church in Fort Greene.

The elected officials, along with tenant advocates and housing lawyers, will answer questions and address concerns of the community.
