Dorothy Alexander-Gill was all smiles at her 90th birthday last Saturday, celebrated at First Presbyterian Church.  At the close of a traumatic week following Superstorm Sandy, everyone seemed to bask and enjoy the sunshine that emanated both from outdoors and from Dorothy. Among the more than 100 family, friends and well-wishers attending were Brother Becket Ryan, OSF, a Franciscan friar who served the Heights for many years, and the Rev. Angela Askew, an Episcopal priest who has served and assisted at several parishes around Brooklyn.  Heights & Hills Community Council honored Dorothy in recent years for her service and commitment to helping senior citizens in the neighborhood.
