Buses, taxes and limousines are among the vehicles that are exempt from New York City’s gas rationing plan.

A Brooklyn car service owner says that helps his business. But that did nothing to ease the gas angst among the commercial drivers on Friday.

Taxi drivers and car services were hoarding gas. The vehicles reeked of gasoline from the extra cans sloshing around in the back seats.

One yellow cab driver apologized to his fare for the overpowering stench of gasoline in the car. He said he didn’t want to run out.
