Hundreds of attendees and speakers are expected to soak up industry buzz and hobnob with key Brooklyn real estate players at this year’s Brooklyn Real Estate Summit, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) on Thursday, May 9.

Panels include arts and entertainment districts, retail corridors, Brooklyn’s hotel development boom, building with green materials, residential development and more.

Jed Walentas of Two Trees Management and Robert K. Steel, Deputy Mayor for Economic Development, will be keynote speakers. An insider’s panel will focus on some of Brooklyn’s biggest new developments, according to hosts TerraCRG, The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and aptsandlofts.com

David Von Spreckelsen, senior vice president Toll Brothers will discuss the ongoing progress at the company’s Brooklyn Bridge Park project; while Kas Sanandaji, senior vice president of investments at The Lightstone Group will detail recently approved development in Gowanus.

David Kramer, principal, Hudson Companies, is expected to shed some light on two major rental projects the company is working to soon unveil. The panel will be moderated by Ofer Cohen, founder and president of TerraCRG.

“We’re incredibly pleased with the caliber of speakers who have expressed interest in participating in this year’s Summit,” Cohen said in a statement.

“There is nothing hotter than the Brooklyn real estate market,” said Carlo A. Scissura, president and CEO of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. “This summit will allow everyone in the real estate and business communities to come together for a day and discuss the important issues.”  This year’s Summit is nearly sold out, according to David Maundrell, founder and president of aptsandlofts.com.

Additional confirmed speakers include Jason Muss of Muss Development, Jim Woods of Brooklyn Bowl, Christina Warner of L&M Development Partners, Ben Bernstein of RedSky Capital, and Toby Moskovits of Heritage Equity Partners.
