Delectable!

We could rhapsodize at length about the eye candy — AKA the historic homes — near New York Methodist Hospital’s proposed expansion site. After all, the jaw-dropping perfection of Prospect Park West is but a block away.

This landmarked piece of Park Slope has Romanesque Revival townhouses from the 1890s on 5th Street, century-old neo-Classical residences on 6th Street and working gaslights all over the place. Legions of preservation-minded people have sung its praises.

So we’ll simply dish a little about two townhouses that real estate investors recently purchased and are now renovating.

* An LLC with Mark Shemel of THINK Properties as a member paid $2.75 million for 609 6th St. in 2012, city Finance Department records show. In September, the city Buildings Department issued a permit for alterations to the century-old two-family townhouse including new interior non-bearing partitions, fixtures, finishes, cabinetry and casework.

* Last year, an LLC whose sole member is Mindy Weinberger bought 565 5th St. for $2.3 million, according to Finance Department records. In April, the Buildings Department issued a permit for the interior renovation of the century-old four-family home to Mark Weinberger of the Sterling Group.
