Raising awareness of mental illness
Brooklyn bands Controller and Romans Are Alive are set to perform at a free concert on Monday, Oct. 20 at the Mercury Lounge in Manhattan to showcase the release of the #IWILLLISTEN album.
#IWILLLISTEN is an awareness campaign launched on Oct.10, World Mental Health Day, by the New York City Metro chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
On social media, supporters use the hashtag #IWILLLISTEN to encourage friends and family struggling with mental illness.
High energy Controller contributes the song “Separator;” classic rock band Romans Are Alive performs “Cure for the Pain.”
