Malliotakis wins support from law enforcement unions
Cops are in Assemblymember Nicole Malliotakis’ corner. The lawmaker was endorsed on Tuesday by the leaders of nearly all of the law enforcement unions in New York City.
The Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association (PBA), Sergeants Benevolent Association, Captains Endowment Association, Lieutenants Benevolent Association, Detectives Endowment Association, Port Authority Police PBA, Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police PBA, New York State Troopers and the Police Conference of New York have all endorsed Malliotakis (R-C-Bay Ridge-Staten Island).
“Our members have both a dangerous and difficult job and it’s important we have partners in government like Assemblywoman Malliotakis, who understand the importance of a strong police force and works to give our members the tools and support they need to do their job and keep our streets safe. We appreciate the support we have received from … Malliotakis and proudly endorse her,” said PBA President Patrick Lynch.
“Assemblywoman Malliotakis has stood by law enforcement, supporting our members, and working to give them the tools they need to do their job not take them away. She is one of those elected officials who understands the tough and dangerous job our detectives face each and every day and we fully support her re-election to the State Assembly,” said Michael Palladino, president of the Detectives Endowment Association.
