NEW YORK — Handlers Take Balloons for Practice Run Before Annual Parade: Handlers steer Thomas the Tank Engine balloon through the parking lot at CitiField on Saturday in New York. The balloon was taken for a practice run along with five other new character balloons in preparation for the 88th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Thomas the Tank Engine will be the parade’s largest balloon by helium volume and the one which contains the most balloon fabric ever used on one character.
