Technicians set up heavy equipment and tested effects Wednesday night in preparation the first annual New York Festival of Light (NYFOL) scheduled to kick off in DUMBO on Nov. 6 and continue through Nov. 8.
NYFOL features a collection of lighting and art installations created by lighting designers, performance artists and technologists. DJs, live performances and food trucks will add to the party.
The event runs from 7 to 11 p.m. on Thursday, and 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, under and around the Archway under the Manhattan Bridge and Pearl Street Triangle.
