ALL-BROOKLYN MVP — Luis Rodriguez, Lincoln, RB/WR, senior

Rodriguez had an amazing regular season with 988 total yards of offense and 13 touchdowns, but what really made him stand out was his postseason. The 5-foot-9 senior had 645 yards and nine touchdowns in just three games as he led the Railsplitters to a city title.

ALL-BROOKLYN Coach of the Year — Shawn O’Connor, Lincoln

There was more parity in New York City high school football than there has been in years this season so it appeared at times that Lincoln would have a tough time repeating as champion. That didn’t matter, as O’Connor expertly brought the city title back to Coney Island.

FIRST TEAM OFFENSE

Chris Parker, Poly Prep, QB, senior

Parker was the All-Brooklyn MVP until Rodriguez had an unbelievable run in the playoffs. Poly head coach Dino Mangiero called him the best player he’s ever coached.

Justin White, Grand Street, QB, senior

“Lefty” was the best passing quarterback in Brooklyn this year with 1,576 yards and 19 touchdowns. It’s incredible he compiled such impressive stats with two of the better running backs on his team.

Troy Booker, Fort Hamilton, RB, sophomore

Booker made Fort Hamilton the strong playoff team it was after 1,062 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.

Brenden Femiano, RB, Poly Prep, senior

Femiano was probably the best and most consistent running back in Brooklyn this season, finishing with 1,346 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Eugene Qualls, RB, Grand Street, senior

Taysir Mack, WR, Grand Street, junior

Lefty’s go-to receiver this year was as dangerous as anybody. He finished with 884 yards receiving, and his 14 receiving touchdowns were the most in New York City.

Lawrence Menyah, Brooklyn Tech, senior

Kefa Cort, WR, Erasmus Hall, senior

Jehoshaphat Buissereth, OL, Lincoln, senior

Big Joe was the anchor of a powerful offensive line which led Lincoln back to the championship this season. It’s no coincidence that the most powerful lineman in Brooklyn will graduate with three championship rings.
