Christmas is coming — but construction workers have been staying busy, busy, busy on  the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Boerum Place in the days before St. Nick’s scheduled arrival.

When we took a peek the other day, they were diligently toiling in the cold at two Boerum Hill developments that will provide space for retailers.

Take a look at 66 Boerum Place, which is being developed by Midtown Equities, with Alex Adjmi as a partner.

A slice of the façade has been installed on the side of the building that faces Atlantic Avenue.

And such an encouraging sight at 252 Atlantic Ave., which is referred to by signage on the construction fence by its other address, 89 Boerum Place.

The site sat silent for about a year.

But work is going on once again — at least, the work that’s allowed by the city Buildings Department.

The other day, when we visited, the agency had issued a Partial Stop Work Order indicating that “brick work” was not allowed.

According to an online Buildings Department filing, an agency inspector noted “unstable path for brick workers to and from area of work,” as well as “jobsite fence defective/failure to safeguard.”

The site is the future home of Atlantic Galleria, whose tenants include retailer Pier 1 and a gym. The developer is Renaissance Realty Group.
