Scott Stringer speaks at Crown Heights tenants rally
New York City Comptroller Scott M. Stringer attended and spoke at a rally to protect tenants’ rights held in Crown Heights on Saturday alongside hundreds of residents, the Crown Heights Tenants Association, New York Communities for Change, Flatbush Tenants Coalition, and the Urban Homesteading Assistance Board.
“The affordable housing crisis is rampant throughout our City,” Comptroller Stringer said. “My office released a report earlier this year revealing that New York City has lost over 400 thousand units of housing that rented for under $1,000 over the last 15 years.”
