Brooklyn Ice teaches kids to skate at Prospect Park

Brooklyn Ice, a free after-school program that teaches figure skating to Brooklyn kids, has returned to Prospect Park — at the new Lakeside Rink at LeFrak Center. While the rink was under construction, the program used Bryant Park in Manhattan. Brooklyn Ice also includes homework help, pilates/dance, educational activities, workshops on nutrition and more. It is led by Violet Eagan, a Professional Skating Association master rated coach. See www.brooklynice.org.
