Brooklyn mom, 19, facing charges in son’s death

A 19-year-old Brooklyn woman has been charged in connection with the death of her 2-year-old son.
The medical examiner on Tuesday determined that Jayden Smith died of blunt force trauma to his abdomen.
Authorities say the toddler was vomiting and having difficulty breathing when emergency responders arrived at the Brooklyn home last Thursday. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
