Cops say Bay Ridge bank bandit had fake beard
The bandit who robbed a Bay Ridge bank on March 21 wasn’t wearing a mask, but tried to conceal his identity by wearing a fake beard, police said.
Police are looking for the unarmed man, who robbed a Flushing Bank branch at 7102 Third Ave., a normally busy commercial avenue, on Friday morning.
Police at the 68th Precinct said the suspect entered the bank, located on the corner of Third Avenue and 71st Street, at approximately 10:30 a.m., approached a teller’s window and handed the teller a note. “He didn’t have a gun. He handed had a note with his demand on it,” a cop told the Brooklyn Eagle.
After the teller handed the suspect cash, he left the bank and fled the scene in an unknown direction.
