The coolest house in East Williamsburg is at 610 Metropolitan Ave.

The cherry-red house has eye-catching mosaic trim made from bits of tile. Even the furniture on the front patio is made of mosaic – including a bench with the inscription “1939 NY Worlds Fair” on it.

“I bought the house that way,” owner Harri K. Singh told Eye on Real Estate. The guy who put the mosaic on the house was an old Italian craftsman, he recalled.

Singh lived on another street in the neighborhood before purchasing the charming home in 1980, city records indicate. Before that, he lived in the Bronx.

“I raised my kids here, and now they’ve got their own kids,” said Singh, who is a Deputy Chief Inspector in the city Fire Department.

He had the Metropolitan Avenue house brightened up with a fresh paint job last year.
