Visionary filmmaker David Lynch—the mastermind behind such critically-acclaimed films as “The Elephant Man,” “Blue Velvet,” “Mulholland Drive and the television series “Twin Peaks—will make a rare public appearance at BAM on Tuesday, April 29 to discuss his many passions: from film to painting, music to meditation. In a far-ranging conversation with New York Public Library’s director of public programs Paul Holdengräber—hailed for bringing “intellectual sparkle to book events at NYPL” (Publisher’s Weekly)—Lynch will explore some of his favorite things and share stories about his creative process.

The event will take place at BAM Howard Gilman Opera House (30 Lafayette Ave. in Fort Greene) at 8 p.m.
