Downtown Brooklyn Partnership’s ‘The 5×10 Talks’ to showcase Brooklyn’s greatest innovators
2014 marks a momentous milestone for Downtown Brooklyn — the 10-year anniversary of the rezoning that paved the way for much of the unprecedented growth the neighborhood is experiencing. To commemorate the occasion, Downtown Brooklyn Partnership will present a program titled “The 5×10 Talks,” to be held at BRIC Arts | Media House at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6.
What better way to showcase the innovation that is taking place in Downtown Brooklyn than to hear from a few of the innovators themselves? To that end, Downtown Brooklyn Partnership has invited five leaders in their fields in Downtown Brooklyn to answer the question, “What’s Next?”
They featured innovators are: Bre Pettis, CEO of MakerBot; Brett Yormark, CEO of the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center; Deborah Schwartz, President of the Brooklyn Historical Society; Katherine Isbister, Director of the NYU Game Innovation Lab; and Ralph McDaniels, Founder of Video Music Box.
