Brooklyn pajama party to help breast cancer survivors
Event being planned by 11-year-old girl
All of you women out there who wear sweatpants to bed, take note. Pajamas can be glamorous, frilly and fun!
That’s the idea behind Pajama Glam Party, a fundraiser for breast cancer survivors organized by Noelle Karmo, a remarkable 11-year-old girl whose mother, Maimah Karmo, is a breast cancer survivor. The pajama party is literally that, a pajama party. Noelle has organized the parties in the past and now the fun is coming to Brooklyn next month.
At Pajama Glam, women and girls are encouraged to show off their finest red, pink or purple pajamas and enjoy a night of beauty, pillow fights, treats, jewelry, Zumba, dancing and swag bags. Amanda Mason, Ms. New York, will serve as MC at the event.
The party, at which both adults and children are welcome, will take place May 3 at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott between 6 and 10 p.m.. Admission is $20 for children and $30 for adults. Tickets are available for purchase on the website of the Tigerlily Foundation, an organization founded by Maimah Karmo during her cancer treatments.
