A pet parade and more than two hours of karaoke were new features of this year’s Willowtown Spring Fair, sponsored by the Willowtown Association.  The fair took place last Saturday, May 17, along the full length of Willow Place in Brooklyn Heights.

The fair featured a parade, singing led by karaoke DJ Domingo Ampil, among other events.

The latest title of Willowtown’s own author of bestsellers, Amity Shlaes, was available at the fair’s book table.  The book is a 300-page graphic treatment of Shlaes’ 2007 book, “The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression,” being released later this month.  The graphics are by the comic book artist Paul Rivoche.

Live music was provided by the Five Deadly Venons, a group that has played at previous fairs.  Staff members of the popular Columbia Place eatery, Iris Café, served their tasty food.  Another local business, Waterfront Wines & Spirits, presented wine tasting.
