Wednesday Aug. 27 marks the anniversary of the Battle of Brooklyn, the Revolutionary War fight that occurred in our fair borough on this day in 1776. It could have marked the end of the Patriots’ fight to liberate the colonies from British oppression, but it miraculously did not.
