Barry Manilow to play at Barclays in June
Tickets Go On Sale Jan. 23
Brooklyn native Barry Manilow will play at Barclays Center on his birthday, June 17, as the final stop in the superstar’s “One Last Time!” tour.
Manilow grew up in Williamsburg and graduated from Eastern District High School in 1961. After a career as a commercial jingle writer, he turned to singing and writing his own pop songs. He is ranked as the top Adult Contemporary chart artist of all time, with more than 50 Top 40 hits. Among his best-known songs are “Mandy,” “Copacabana,” “Can’t Smile Without You” and “Could It Be Magic.”
After performing more than 400 concerts at the Paris Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Hilton from 2005 to 2011, Manilow has decided to limit his concert appearances. The “One Last Time!” tour, says Manilow, is “my way of thanking everyone for their years of support — one last time!”
