While what was dubbed the Blizzard of 2015 had less impact than predicted in New York City, more than a million school kids thought the surprise snow day was totally awesome.

Hundreds jammed Squibb Hill in Brooklyn Heights Monday, shrieking with delight as they flew down the slope on sleds, flying saucers and snow tubes. Moms and dads had just as much fun as the kids.

NYC’s Department of Education says all good thing must come to an end on Wednesday, however, when school resumes.

Regents exams will take place as scheduled, DOE said. All field trips will be canceled, but after-school programs will be open.

DOE said that due to the weather, schools bus delays may be possible. Parents can call the OPT hotline on 7183928855 with any questions.
