Members and supporters of “Save Pier 6,” an advocacy group fighting against plans for two high-rise residential buildings to be built at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6, congregated inside the Zion German Lutheran Church on Henry Street in Brooklyn Heights on Sunday, ahead of the upcoming Community Advisory Council meeting. Shown is Ren Richmond, giving a presentation to the crowd.

Also present at the meeting was Steven Guterman, a local Brooklyn Heights resident and founder of the advocacy group “Save the View Now,” which is seeking to get the height of the Pierhouse hotel and condo project revised, as the structure partially blocks the view of the Brooklyn Bridge from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.

The town hall-style meeting encouraged residents to pose questions or remarks that were duly answered by Martin Hale, Richmond, Lori Schomp, Guterman and architect Joseph Merz, among the other attendees.

The Community Advisory Council meeting has been rescheduled for Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Congregation Mount Sinai, 250 Cadman Plaza West
