Some 500 walkers, runners and cyclists attended Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation’s Annual 10K Run, Walk and Ride last Sunday. Councilmember Robert E. Cornegy, Jr., News 12 Anchor Crystal Walker, Restoration Executive Vice President Tracey Capers and Randall Atkinson, Branch Manager of the soon to be opened TD Bank on Marcy and Fulton Avenues all presided over the awards ceremony which recognized top male and female runners across 14 age categories.

In addition to the traditional 10K Run and 5K Walk, scores of children came out for a Kiddie Run led by the Bedford Stuyvesant YMCA and several dozen cyclists participated in our annual bike ride. Those without bikes of their own used ones provided by CitiBike.

“Restoration once again pulled off an incredible community event, attracting hundreds for a day of healthy living and community spirit,” said Tracey Capers, Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation’s Executive Vice President for Programs.
