Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn’s Annual Golf Classic gave supporters of the private school in Bay Ridge a chance to channel their inner Jordan Spieth.

The all-day event, which took place at the Dyker Beach Golf Course on Sept. 29, allowed participants to enjoy playing golf and to raise funds for Adelphi Academy at the same time.

Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn is located at 8515 Ridge Boulevard in Bay Ridge.

After checking in, each golfer received a complimentary golf “swag” bag.

The outing began with a Shotgun Start–Texas Scramble format as competitive foursomes enjoyed 18 holes of golf on Dyker’s course, located on Seventh Avenue and 86th Street in Dyker Heights.

Participants also got the chance to show off their skills in various competitions, including putting, hole-in-one, closest to the pin and longest drive.

After a relaxing day on the green, golfers and other supporters assembled inside the Dyker Beach Golf Course catering hall for dinner and an awards ceremony.

The evening also featured a silent auction showcasing sports memorabilia as well as raffle drawings for several top-notch prizes.

“Though it tends to cater to a somewhat specific audience, Adelphi’s Annual Golf Classic is always one of the most highly anticipated events on Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn’s calendar,” said Head of School Iphigenia Romanos.

“Golfers come to show off their skills, enjoy themselves and, of course, to support the academy. It’s a relaxing, enjoyable day for us and certainly a fun one for our guests,” Romanos added.

Families of Adelphi students, alumni and owners of local businesses helped Adelphi Academy raise money at the golf outing by sponsoring a hole for the day.

Director of Academy Operations Albert C. Corhan said he was grateful for the support the school received from sponsors and golfers alike.

“The many businesses that took advantage of hole sponsorship and advertising opportunities had their logos seen by all the golfers who hit the links at our event, and their contributions will directly benefit the students of Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn,” said Corhan. “They helped make the Annual Golf Classic a tremendous success once again and we are grateful for their support.”
