Greetings, Brooklyn. Today is the 301st day of the year.

ON THIS DAY IN 1923, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle published an article titled “Jeffry Farnol Predicts Double Morals Standard Soon for English Women.”

The article focused on the “surplus of women in England.”

“’Speaking of British morals,’ he declared, ‘the English women will knock down the single standard of morality enjoyed by the men only at the present time and establish a double standard for themselves in the near future. No longer will the English woman get the thing end, while the men are given the fat end,’” the Eagle reported Farnol as saying.
