Shoppers spent the night in camp chairs on the sidewalk outside the H&M store on Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn Wednesday night, hoping to get first shot at H&M’s collaboration with luxury designer Balmain.

“The collection is striking, with lots of cool colors,” said fashion enthusiast Kelly S. “They have a fur coat I’m prepared to kill someone for.”

Shoppers said the lines were longer and wilder in Manhattan. Videos on social media showed shoppers erupting in a “Balmainia” frenzy when doors opened in shops in the morning. The collection in Paris sold out within hours.

Prices went as high as $2,150 for a women’s leather jacket that retailed for $399.
