New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is laughing off an attack ad that depicted him as a character in the sexually charged blockbuster “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

De Blasio was asked Thursday about a digitally altered image the state Republican Party issued this week. It was dubbed “Fifty Shades of Bill.” It depicted the mayor and civil rights leader the Rev. Al Sharpton, withde Blasio appearing to wear a dress.

Sharpton’s organization, the National Action Network, deemed the image offensive and called for an apology.

De Blasio didn’t do the same. He said he hasn’t seen the movie or read the book upon which it is based.

He then joked that he asked “Fifty Shades” star Dakota Johnson to play him in any upcoming biopic of his life.
