Construction worker dies in accident at Barclays Center in Brooklyn

A construction worker at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn was crushed to death when several steel beams fell on him.

According to the New York Post, the worker’s employer, Greenland Forest City Partners, said it happened while the man was installing a “green roof” on the arena just after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Fire officials say the man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
