Wahlburgers — the franchise owned by actor brothers Mark and Donnie Wahlberg and their brother Paul, a chef — is coming to Coney Island, and the Brooklyn joint is slated to be featured in a reality TV show.

John Cestare, from Big Apple Burgers, has secured franchise rights from the Wahlbergs and will be opening seven New York City locations, the first of which is set to open May 1 at Thor Equities’ retail building on Surf and Stillwell avenues, according to Amusing the Zillion. The building sits across from the iconic Nathan’s Famous and next to the Brooklyn Nets Shop and Brooklyn Rock, a clothing and gift store.

With the new eatery, Coney Island will also attract a film crew — Cestare is scheduled to appear on Season 3 of A&E’s “Wahlburgers,” a reality show that documents the Wahlberg brothers’ lives. Previous seasons have featured the family’s Boston-based eateries.

Amusing the Zillion reports that the restaurant space will offer rooftop dining in addition to the ground floor. A sign on the building says “Coming Spring 2015 — Wahlburgers — Our Family — Our Story — Our Burgers,”but it has yet to be revealed when the Wahlberg brothers will visit the Coney site, according to Amusing the Zillion.
