Brooklyn’s girls have made the borough proud. Brianna Fraser represents Brooklyn as an All-American, and South Shore brought the city title back home for the first time since 1991. Fraser might be going off to Maryland next year, but with so much talent not graduating quite yet, Kings County could be in a position to become a girls basketball powerhouse.

Here are the high school basketball All-Brooklyn girls teams, as chosen by the Brooklyn Daily Eagle.

All-Brooklyn MVP: Brianna Fraser, South Shore, forward, senior

Brianna Fraser led the Brooklyn AA division with 16.7 points per game and was third with 10.3 rebounds per game. The All-American also scored 22 of South Shore’s 42 points when the team won the school’s first-ever city championship.

All-Brooklyn Coach of the Year: Anwar Gladden, South Shore

Gladden has consistently had one of the best teams in the entire city for years, but only now can he say that he’s the best. Gladden is the first coach from Brooklyn to win the PSAL AA championship since Robeson won in 1991.

All-Brooklyn Rookie of the Year: Kania Pollock, Boys and Girls, guard, freshman

Not many freshmen had as good a year as Pollock did. She averaged 13.6 points per game and led the PSAL with 13.1 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game in 15 regular season games. It’s been a long time since Boys and Girls had a winning record, but with players like Pollock to build around, it looks like a winner in the making.

All-Brooklyn First Team

Milica Reid, Bishop Loughlin, guard, sophomore

Reid led a talented Loughlin squad with 13.8 points and 4.8 assists per game in 25 games. Also strong defensively, Reid was second on the team with 2.4 steals per game.

Jen Kaye, Bishop Kearney, forward, senior

Kaye was a powerful senior with the ability to take control of a game offensively as well as wreak havoc for teams in the paint.

Niya Johnson, Nazareth, guard, junior

Johnson is one of the best shooters in Brooklyn and averaged 22.1 points and 10.2 rebounds per game for the Lady Kingsmen this year.

Shanique Edwards, Grand Street, forward, junior

Edwards transferred to Grand Street prior to this season and changed everything. She averaged 15.1 points and 11.8 rebounds per game as she helped get her team to Madison Square Garden.

Danielle Patterson, Medgar Evers Prep, guard/forward, sophomore

Medgar Evers is one of the most improved teams in the city in recent years, and with players like Patterson, who averaged 16.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, it’s only going to keep improving.

All-Brooklyn Second Team

Brianna Stoddart, Canarsie, guard, senior

Alexandra Jacques, St. Edmund Prep, forward, senior

Jai Moore, Midwood, guard, junior

Aiyana Dugue, ENY Family Academy, forward, senior

Amanda Cruz, South Shore, guard, senior
