Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams is looking to connect 10,000 of the borough’s shakers and movers together into a force that will bring Brooklyn to the next level.

On Monday, Adams kicked off “10,000 Concerned Brooklynites,” which he described as “an effort to identify, organize, and unite people from all walks of life to build a movement which will actively contribute to the betterment of their communities.

“Throughout my years in public life, I have noticed that during our fast-paced daily movements, good people often pass each other on the street without ever meeting — without ever realizing that great opportunities are being squandered,” Adams said in a statement. “I want to do something to change this.”

Adams is asking interested residents to sign up online, and list areas they are concerned about, such as education, housing, economic development, youth, public health or others.

His office will group those with like interests together and organize gatherings around the borough “so that liked-minded people can meet each other and connect.”

Participants will also receive email blasts about their areas of interest.
