Greetings, Brooklyn. Today is the 90th day of the year.

ON THIS DAY in 1912, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle published an article titled “Brooklyn Arsene Lupin Writes Notes to Police.”

The article focused on a thief who taunted the police about the “inability to catch him.”

“Arsene Lupin, fictional character though he may be, has appeared in Flatbush in the flesh, or else the daring, romantic, half-fascinating rogue who is picking and choosing as he robs Flatbush homes, is a faithful counterpart of the famous thief in the play,” the Eagle reported.
