Brooklyn Daily Eagle legal editor Charisma L. Troiano, Esq., hosted a BK Live segment to discuss the new school climate changes and school discipline reform policies announced by the de Blasio administration late last month.  New polices are scaled back from the previous administration’s zero tolerance school discipline policy, but larger questions of which students tend to get disciplined in New York City public schools, the balance between school safety and discipline and how these policies ultimately affect the children they’re designed to protect.

Joined by David O’Hara, the principal at the Expeditionary Learning School for Community Leaders,  located in Bath Beach, Brooklyn and Bernard Dufresne, a staff attorney with Advocates for Children of New York.
