Investors Bank foundation donates $150,000 to charter school
A Brooklyn charter school specializing in Greek studies has been awarded a $150,000 grant from the charitable arm of a bank.
The Investors Foundation, which provides grant funding for not-for-profit organizations that are located in neighborhoods served by Investors Bank, presented the $150,000 grant to officials at the Hellenic Classical Charter School during a ceremony at the school on March 5.
The Hellenic Classical Charter School is located at 646 Fifth Ave. in Park Slope.
The grant will be given to the charter school in increments of $30,000 each year for the next five years and will be used to purchase 17 interactive Smart Boards and to upgrade the school’s technology network infrastructure, according to officials.
