Brace yourselves, kielbasa lovers.

Popular South Slope Polish grocer Eagle Provisions plans to close on June 4.

Shop owners Richard and John Zawisny sold the building the store occupies, 628 Fifth Ave., through their company R.S.V. Real Estate Corp. for $7.5 million in March, city Finance Department records show.

Eagle Provisions, which sells interesting foods from Poland and all over Europe including homemade hickory-smoked kielbasa, will be mourned most of all by tipplers who appreciated its staggeringly extensive stock of 2,500-plus varieties of beer.

Two LLCs jointly purchased the property, which is located on the corner of 18th Street. Developer George Malafis is a member of both, Finance Department records indicate.

The building was listed for sale last summer at a $9 million asking price, the Commercial Observer reported at the time.

Perhaps we’re over-thinking this — but one of the LLCs has “APTS,” the abbreviation for “apartments,” in its name, suggesting there will be a residential component to what Malafis does with the property. No construction plans have been filed yet with the city Buildings Department.

We called Malafis’ office and were told his son Nicholas should handle our query. We didn’t hear back from him by press time.

The two men are busy landlords and developers in South Slope and other nearby neighborhoods.
