Children of employees at the city’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) had quite the treat on Thursday for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.

OEM partner agencies including the NYPD Mounted Police and FDNY brought two horses – Freedom and Limerick — and an ambulance to Downtown Brooklyn to show kids what mom and dad do all day.

Officers hoisted kids atop the beautiful mounts, and told the children to “always be careful of a horse’s feet and legs.”

Jaemin, age 7, wondered why a horse “can’t see behind its back. Maybe because it has a short neck?”

The children also had enormous fun sounding the ambulance’s siren as long and loud as possible.
