Eighteen cultural institutions in New York City have received $200,000 each from the Carnegie Corporation of New York.

The nonprofit said Thursday that the $3.6 million in grants will fund the organizations’ programs in the arts and sciences for children in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Museums, libraries and performing arts and science centers are among the recipients.
