‘Make It in Brooklyn’ summit to discuss borough’s growth
Will Bring Together 300 of Borough’s Leading Innovators
The inaugural Make It in Brooklyn Innovation Summit — an event that will explore the borough’s development — will be held on June 25 at locations throughout the Brooklyn Cultural District, the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership recently announced.
The summit will bring together 300 of Brooklyn’s leading innovators makers, builders and entrepreneurs to explore how Brooklyn can continue its ascent as an international center for commerce and culture. Most of the events will take place at the Theatre for a New Audience’s Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Pl.
Discussion topics will include real estate, the arts, tech innovation, restaurant management and the future of manufacturing in the borough. The event will culminate with a pitch contest, where Brooklyn startups will pitch their best ideas to a panel of industry leaders with $50,000 in seed funding on the line.
