The 19th Annual Dance Festival at P.S. 127 in Bay Ridge had an international flavor, as students from all grades performed dances from countries all over the world for a large crowd of teachers and parents who applauded their every move.

The dance festival, which took place in the school yard at P.S. 127, 7805 Seventh Ave. on a recent Tuesday, also paid tribute to the late Walt Disney, the creator of Mickey Mouse and such classic movies as “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Bambi” and “Mary Poppins.”

The theme of the dance festival was “The Wonderful World of Disney.”

“P.S. 127 Presents ‘The Wonderful World of Disney’ was a huge success,” School Guidance Counselor Stefanie Meola said. “Families, staff, students and local elected officials joined in the day of fun.”

The students, who had been practicing for weeks to master their dance moves, performed their numbers without a hitch.
