“The hills are alive with the sound of music,” Julie Andrews sang in the classic movie “The Sound of Music.” But in Brooklyn, it’s not just the hills that are alive with music — the parks are, too.

State Sen. Marty Golden (R-C-Bay Ridge-Southwest Brooklyn), in partnership with the Southwest Brooklyn Parks Task Force, is presenting a series of summer concerts in parks in his senate district in July and August.

Golden announced the concert lineup on Friday. The concert series kicks off on Tuesday, July 7, when the group Out Of The Blue plays in Shore Road Park at 79th Street in Bay Ridge.

The series (15 concerts in total) will feature an array of musical acts that will include Bobby Valli, the brother of Frankie Valli of the Four Seasons and “Jersey Boys” fame, as well as a special “Irish Night on Shore Road” featuring the Canny Brothers.

All of the concerts are free, and each show begins at 7 p.m.

“I am excited to today announce the 2015 summer concert series, which I will again be hosting in our local parks,” Golden said in a statement. “We have a great lineup of entertainment, so mark your calendar, bring a chair or a blanket, and make your way to the shows in our beautiful parks. I guarantee you will enjoy the entertainment that will feature classic rock, the greatest hits of all time, disco, dance and more.”
