Greetings, Brooklyn. Today is the 198th day of the year.

ON THIS DAY IN 1935, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle published an article titled “Where He Hails from They Toss Cops in Sewer, Prisoner Boasts.”

The article focused on court case in which a 38-year-old man was charged with throwing a cat at a boy who refused to run an errand for him.

“And when he remonstrated with him for his strange conduct the cop said Anderson told him ‘we toss cops down the sewer where I come from,” the Eagle reported.
