DOT to resurface Borough Park roadways
‘Smoother streets are safer streets,’ Greenfield says
The Department of Transportation (DOT) will be busy in Borough Park this summer, repaving several streets in the neighborhood to ensure a smooth ride for motorists navigating local roadways.
“Smoother streets are safer streets,” said Councilmember David G. Greenfield, who represents Borough Park and who worked with the DOT to identify the streets badly in need of resurfacing.
Residents in other parts of Greenfield’s council district, including Bensonhurst and Midwood, will also see their streets resurfaced during the summer.
The streets slated for re-pavement include portions of 18th Avenue, 14th Avenue, 10th Avenue, 23rd Avenue, Fort Hamilton Parkway, 52nd Street, 57th Street, 60th Street, Ryder Avenue, Kings Highway, Ocean Avenue, East 18th Street, East 9th Street, Avenue I and Coney Island Avenue.
