A peek at a filming location for HBO’s Martin Scorsese-Mick Jagger production of ‘Vinyl’
You never know where the Steiner Studios name will pop up next.
The Brooklyn Navy Yard-based film studio is the home base for Broken Record Productions — which is now shooting a new HBO drama series called “Vinyl” produced by legendary film director Martin Scorsese and rock god Mick Jagger.
Broken Records works out of 25 Washington Ave. — Steiner Studios’ iconic Art Deco building with World War II-era radio towers on its roof. The production company’s Steiner Studios address appears on a posting on a street that dead-ends on Rockaway Beach in Queens, alerting residents that filming of “Vinyl” is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 24.
