NEW ORLEANS — Remembering Hurricane Katrina: In this Aug. 30, 2005 photo, a woman carries bottled water as she walks in oil-coated floodwaters. For photographer Bill Haber, Katrina wasn’t just a story — it was personal. Many of Haber’s family members lost their homes. During breaks from work he didn’t relax. He dealt with insurance companies, found a new place to live and made sure family members were OK.

GUATEMALA CITY — Students Call for President’s Resignation: National University students march to the National Palace to take part in a strike calling for the resignation of President Otto Perez Molina on Thursday. Pressure grew on the embattled leader to resign as business and government offices closed, and thousands marched to the plaza to take part in the national strike.
