Aides to Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed Wednesday that comedian Louis C.K. has been shadowing the mayor as research for a project.

Louis C.K. sat in on a meeting of the state’s Financial Control Board on Tuesday, listening to de Blasio’s testimony.

He attended several meetings at City Hall and then joined the mayor at a National Night Out anti-crime event at a Brooklyn police precinct.

This was not the first time de Blasio and the comedian collaborated. Louis C.K. was part of de Blasio’s skit at this year’s Inner Circle journalism variety show.

It was not clear when the actor, who stars in the hit series “Louie,” would follow the mayor again.
