NYPD releases sketch of suspect in Cuomo aide shooting

The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying a male wanted for questioning in regards to an assault within the confines of the 71 Precinct. Details are as follows:

On Monday at 3:41 a.m., the victim, 43-year-old Carey Gabay, was walking north bound on Bedford Avenue, between Sullivan Place and Montgomery Street, when multiple shots were fired in front of 1680 Bedford Avenue. Gabay was struck in the head and removed to Kings County Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Witnesses at the scene provided a description of a male who was at the location and is wanted for questioning in regards.

A sketch of the suspect, a 19 to 20-year-old black male who was wearing a white tee shirt, black pants and a Jamaican flag around his neck, is attached.
